Miguel joined Sigrun in 2022 as Operating Partner, after nearly 30 years of professional practice in Finance, in several companies and banks.

He has been Chief Financial Officer of the Telefónica Group – where he spent 18 years in different responsibilities -, of the automotive parts manufacturer Gestamp, and of B. Popular. He began his career at JP Morgan, in derivatives, from where he moved to B. Santander as Director of Global Market Risk Management. Since 2020, he has acted as an independent consultant in several industries.

His extensive professional experience has allowed him to acquire a global vision of corporate management and governance, bringing the financial vision to the business as a whole and dealing with the entire spectrum of the financial area. He has executed financing transactions amounting to several tens of billions of euros, under different forms (debt, equity and hybrids), and in different situations (not only with the solvency of an investment grade company, but also in high yield, and in emerging markets).

Miguel holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and a Master in Economy and Business Administration from IESE Business School.
