Coming from banks such as Santander, BNP Paribas or HSBC, among others, and as a leading investment banking team in Spain at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), particularly as debt providers, Sigrun’s partners have closed over 500 transactions to date, including some of the most relevant in Spanish corporate history.

Our history and values

Sigrun Partners was born in July 2009 as a spin-off of Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Iberia, led by Juan Carlos García Centeno who, from 2001 until then, had been CEO of RBS Iberia (Spain and Portugal) and RBS Latin America (Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, Peru, Argentina and Chile).

The team’s extensive knowledge of financing and restructuring matters, as well as its access to key decision makers in financial institutions, companies and national and international investors, allowed the firm to prosper from its first steps, establishing itself in a difficult environment (Great Recession) as a leader in corporate finance for Spain, Portugal, Africa and Latin America.

Since then, Sigrun Partners has provided advise on a large number of transactions, with many complex situations, to listed companies, family businesses, private equity funds, family offices, energy and infrastructure funds, real estate funds, as well as institutional investors.


We have no conflicts of interest with third parties or with each other. We are a full partnership. The company belongs to its partners. There is no participation of any financial institution or management company. We have no external shareholders. Thus, we can dedicate ourselves fully to our clients, guaranteeing the quality of our work and the fulfilment of our commitments.
